McDonald begins contactless payment

We're sure you'd rather have a Rahier sandwich, or maybe soup at Phipps, but at McDonald’s it coudn't easier to pay. Customers can now pay for their Big Macs with a smartphone as the fast-food giant joins a growing number of shops and restaurants introducing contactless payments.
More than 1,400 restaurants across Canada have introduced new point of sale payment terminals. The facility will allow consumers with MasterCard enabled with a PayPass chip, or a Visa PayWave card to pay for their burger and fries with just a tap of the card. The terminals also work with PayPass enabled smartphones.
