For the many gelato ice cream fans in our clientele, word has come that Alessandro Settimi has sold his two shop business, The Mad Italian. The gelato entrepreneur and his family established The Mad Italian last year, with the original store being at 1581 South Bayview next door to Homefront's Bayview store at 1579. . The sale of the business was not planned but the result of a spontaneous offer to buy it. Alessandro says he and wife Alana and their infant daughter will return to Italy for a vacation and make their future plans there.
